Overview
The property group managed multiple buildings with hundreds of physical keys in circulation. Lost keys, contractor access, and emergency lock changes were creating administrative delays and security gaps.
We deployed encrypted smart locks at common entrances and apartment doors where appropriate, backed by a cloud-managed credential system. Residents retained simple mobile and keypad access while managers gained live permission controls.
Our Strategy
Access groups were mapped around residents, maintenance teams, cleaners, and approved contractors. Every credential was set with a clear scope, schedule, and audit trail so temporary access could expire automatically.
A staged migration kept each building operational while staff learned the new administration flow. Emergency override procedures and resident support materials were introduced before the final switchover.
Measured Results
Managers can now issue, revoke, and audit access from one dashboard rather than chase physical keys. Residents experience faster visitor entry while maintenance teams work within time-limited permissions.
The rollout eliminated 87% of emergency rekey requests, reduced access administration time by 54%, and connected 12 properties to one permission model.
